Though Tottenham and Chelsea don't yet have a unique name for their London derby as both teams only recently gained prominence in the Premiership, the West London Chelsea side and the North London Tottenham side are fierce rivals and will meet this time on Wembley Stadium. Chelsea considers Tottenham to be their second biggest rival, after Arsenal. The two teams are also battling it out in the league for a Champions League spot.

Tottenham is in abysmal form recently. Throughout the season, the Spurs enjoyed being underdogs and Harry Redknapp steadily refused any talk of Tottenham reaching the Champions League spot or making a challenge for the title. The approach worked well and the care-free Tottenham side was enjoying a good run of results which, with help of other clubs' poor performances, brought them up on the table.

And then the problems came. Tottenham became a prominent Champions League contender and Harry Redknapp was rumored to be the next England national team coach, and Tottenham's performances plummeted. What was once an offensive short-passing side with a lot of flair became a pathetic excuse of a football team, and recored only one victory in their last nine league matches, succumbing to the pressure surrounding them. Despite Emmanuel Adebayor finding great form and scoring 13 goals and making 11 assists in 29 matches this season, thue club is still struggling.

Chelsea, on the other hand, went through a revival following the departure of Andre Villas-Boas. Roberto di Matteo empowered the players, and with new responsibility and freedom Frank Lampard and John Terry made the team give their best in the most difficult situations. Despite still being able to lose a match, Chelsea is now showing determination and character.

Tottenham is priced at around 2.720 on Betfair to finally beat a big team this season. Pinnacle Sports is giving 3.440 for the draw, and 2.950 for Chelsea victory. Chelsea hosted Tottenham recently in the league and it was 0-0, and it was one of the few matches against the top clubs which Tottenham didn't lose this season. However, the pressure was on Chelsea then, and in this match it seems to be more on Tottenham as they need to rescue their season. That pressure is not something Tottenham can handle.
